Although Rockstar Games has officially announced a May 26, 2026 release date, well-known industry insider Tom Henderson recently cast doubt on that timeline during the Insider Gaming podcast:
“Honestly, I don’t think the game will launch in May. For some reason, I just don’t see it happening. All the chatter and information I’ve seen doesn’t support a May release. I don’t have enough evidence to publish a report yet, so don’t go posting this on Reddit. But Rockstar has consistently proven they’re perfectionists. If GTA 6 were to launch in late 2026, Rockstar could reap several benefits.
