Ahead of today’s PlayStation State of Play event themed around 007 "First Light," some listings on Amazon have revealed the game’s pricing structure, including a $300 Collector's Edition.
According to billbil-kun, the product listings on Amazon show that the standard edition of the game, developed by IO Interactive, is expected to be priced at $70. Although game prices have been rising, "007: First Light" seems to maintain the $70 price tag, a standard for AAA games over the past few years.

Another Amazon listing shows that the Collector's Edition of the game is priced at $300. While the exact contents of this edition are unclear, the description mentions that the game’s packaging weighs 6 pounds. Notably, this $300 version has been found on all platforms except for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Industry experts believe that players are ready and willing to pay $80 or even more for new games, and the normalization of higher game prices is just a matter of time. However, many companies still stick to a $70 base price, while offering more expensive premium editions and profiting from DLC and microtransactions.
"Super Mario Kart World" was the first major game to raise its price to $80, though it also comes bundled with the $500 Switch 2 package. Microsoft had planned to price games like "The Outer Worlds 2" at $80 this year but later abandoned that plan. EA has stated that there are no plans to set new games at $80. Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two, responded to questions about the price of "GTA 6" but has not confirmed any details.
"007: First Light" is expected to release in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC platforms. This game will mark the first to explore the origin story of the iconic James Bond character, following numerous Bond games over the years, including the legendary "007: GoldenEye." Players will step into the shoes of a 26-year-old James Bond, serving in the Royal Navy before being recruited into MI6 and eventually joining the elite 00 agent unit.
