Fans Are Trying To Crack A Cryptic, Unlisted Cyberpunk 2077 Video

Cyberpunk 2077 has never been short on mysteries. From the still-unsolved FF06B5 enigma to the unsettling Peralez storyline, Night City continues to lure players into rabbit holes of unanswered questions. Now, fans believe they’ve stumbled onto another puzzle—this time involving an unlisted YouTube video that, on the surface, looks like nothing more than 24 minutes of static.

The trail begins with a “recruitment” post

On September 1, 2025, CD Projekt Red shared an in-universe recruitment message from Rosalind Myers, president of the fictional New United States of America. The official Cyberpunk 2077 account on X (formerly Twitter) insisted it wasn’t a teaser for new content, but rather an activity tied to the Phantom Liberty anniversary. Even so, fans dug deeper—and it turns out they were right to.

According to Reddit user ArcticXWolf, the binary data of the original image hid a link to a Roman coin. That link, when filtered through the anonymous messaging site secretMSG, redirected to the mysterious YouTube upload titled “Secret Message from NUSA.” The video runs 24 minutes and 53 seconds and appears to be nothing but visual static.

Hidden words in the noise

Closer inspection reveals that select frames spell out the chilling phrase: “FILES DETECTED CLASSIFIED.” Beyond that, though, the trail goes cold. Some fans have tried throwing the footage into large language models—so far without results. Others suggest the static resembles imagery teased in the Edgerunners 2 promo, hinting at possible ties to the game’s space-exploration conspiracies.

One fan even quoted the iconic opening line of William Gibson’s Neuromancer:
“The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.”

Still no official word

For now, CD Projekt Red and the official Cyberpunk 2077 channels remain silent, offering no additional clues. Whether this is just a playful anniversary stunt or the seed of something bigger, the mystery fits perfectly with Cyberpunk’s legacy of cryptic storytelling.

Until more pieces fall into place, the community will keep digging—because in Night City, even static on a screen can hide secrets. And maybe, one day, we’ll finally understand what the hell FF06B5 really means.
