On October 16, Apple is set to release iPadOS 26.1, marking the first time iOS users will be able to access the Apple Vision Pro app. After the release of iOS 26.1 beta3, many Apple users were not initially concerned with whether to update, but were instead shocked by the file size—7.9GB.
Earlier this year, Apple launched the Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone, which debuted with iOS 18.4 in April. iPadOS 26.1 is expected to be officially released by the end of October or early November, bringing the Apple Vision Pro app to iPad devices.
The Apple Vision Pro app allows users to "queue up apps and games for download, explore new spatial content and experiences, easily access useful tips, and quickly look up device-related information" via iPhone (and soon, iPad).
Apple has also added a "Discover" page in the app, where users can browse "curated, new, and noteworthy content recommendations available for experience on Apple Vision Pro."
The "My Vision Pro" page helps users "find useful tips for fully utilizing the Apple Vision Pro, easily access information such as the current visionOS version and device serial number, and set up personalized spatial audio features."
