Welcome to September! The weather’s cooling down, pumpkin spice season is almost here, and what better way to celebrate than diving back into some amazing games? Here are four titles we’re especially excited to revisit this weekend.
Star Wars Outlaws
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PC (Steam Deck “Unsupported”)
Current goal: Get Kay Vess to say “Dank farrik!” about 17 more times
When Outlaws launched last year, it was already a solid Star Wars experience—grimy cantinas, tense sabacc matches, and a universe brimming with atmosphere. A year later, with gameplay refinements and new story chapters, it feels like the perfect time to start over.
Early concerns about the Switch 2 port have mostly been put to rest—it runs far better than expected, and is even something of a technical marvel. Between this, Cyberpunk 2077, and Street Fighter 6, the Switch 2 is proving surprisingly capable at handling ambitious ports.

Hollow Knight: Silksong
Platforms: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch 2, Switch, PC (Steam Deck “Verified”)
Current goal: Beat Fourth Chorus
Yes, we’re still talking about Silksong. And yes, it’s worth it. This sequel doubles down on everything that made Hollow Knight so beloved—tough bosses, deep exploration, cryptic NPC encounters—but makes it all feel new again.
Hornet’s restricted aerial attack (a 45-degree downward strike) frustrates some players, but that’s the point. The best games push us out of our comfort zones while still delivering the familiar joys we came for. Silksong does exactly that.

No Man’s Sky
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PC (Steam Deck “Verified”)
Current goal: Get me one of those Corvettes
Nine years after launch, No Man’s Sky continues to reinvent itself. The recent Voyagers update changes a core mechanic: launch thruster fuel. Now, you can skydive or teleport down to a planet from your ship, reshaping exploration and resource management in profound ways.
Add in new creative ship-building options and improved VR support, and No Man’s Sky feels fresher than ever. It remains one of gaming’s greatest redemption arcs—and a universe you’ll never want to leave.

Metal Eden
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam Deck Unsupported)
Current goal: Escape the Sand Trap
Eight years after Ruiner, Reikon Games returns with another stylish cyberpunk bloodbath. Metal Eden is a blistering first-person shooter that blends Ghostrunner’s parkour speed with Doom’s arena carnage.
The campaign is brief but tightly designed—more about rhythm and spectacle than story. With wave-based arenas, brutal finishers, and razor-sharp combat flow, it’s one of the slickest shooters of 2025 so far.

💡 Player Tip
Whether you’re plunging back into No Man’s Sky’s infinite galaxies or testing your reflexes in Silksong and Metal Eden, don’t be afraid to restart old saves. Big updates often change core mechanics, and starting fresh can help you fully experience what’s new.
