Nearly two months after rival retailers opened reservations, Amazon has finally listed the Nintendo Switch 2 Pokémon Legends: Z-A Bundle for preorder at $500. Unlike the Mario Kart World Bundle and the standalone Switch 2 console—which both required request-invite links—Amazon’s Pokémon bundle can now be ordered directly, no hoops required.
This new package launches on October 16, the same day Pokémon Legends: Z-A arrives. Much like the Mario Kart bundle, it includes a digital copy of the game alongside the console.
Availability Across Retailers
- ✅ Amazon – Preorders now open
- ✅ Walmart – Still available
- ✅ Target – Still available
- ❌ Best Buy – Sold out
- ❌ GameStop – Sold out
The Pokémon Legends bundle is essentially taking the place of the Mario Kart World launch bundle, which Nintendo previously positioned as a limited-time release. While no hard end date was announced, it’s expected that the Mario Kart bundle will quietly disappear once Pokémon Legends: Z-A hits shelves in October.
Bundle Value
Separately, the Switch 2 console retails for $450 and Pokémon Legends: Z-A costs $70—a combined total of $520. By opting for the bundle, buyers save $20.
It’s worth noting, however, that unlike Mario Kart World (a Switch 2 exclusive priced at $80), Pokémon Legends: Z-A is also launching on the original Nintendo Switch for $60.
Context: A Packed Nintendo Fall
The September Nintendo Direct revealed one of the busiest release calendars in years:
- Super Mario Galaxy + Galaxy 2 Collection (Oct. 2)
- Pokémon Legends: Z-A (Oct. 16)
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment (Nov. 6)
- Kirby Air Riders (Nov. 20)
- Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (Dec. 4)
On top of that, Nintendo announced a wave of new Amiibo figures and companion books like Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective and Rosalina’s Storybook.
💡 Player Tip
If you’re planning to grab the Pokémon bundle, order soon—these console/game bundles tend to vanish quickly and aren’t restocked often. For collectors, consider pairing it with the new Amiibo line releasing this fall, as stock on those can be even more unpredictable than consoles.
