Sept 4 — According to The Verge, Helldivers 2, once a PlayStation 5 exclusive, has now become the best-selling title on Xbox. When including sales of its higher-priced deluxe edition, the game currently holds both the first and third positions on Xbox’s sales chart. At present, it ranks ninth overall on the Xbox platform, trailing behind major titles such as Fortnite, Minecraft, and GTA V.
On August 26, Microsoft officially announced that Sony’s Helldivers 2 had launched on Xbox Series X|S with full cross-play support.
Data from Alinea Analytics shows that as of August 28, PC sales on Steam had reached 12 million copies — more than double the PS5 version’s estimated 5 million.
Since its Xbox release on August 26, the game sold 600,000 copies in just three days, pushing its total global sales to nearly 18 million.
