After nearly two decades of waiting, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is finally set to launch on December 4 for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Revealed during September’s jam-packed Nintendo Direct, the long-anticipated sequel is now open for preorder, alongside a fresh lineup of Amiibo figures and a deluxe visual retrospective book celebrating the trilogy.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Editions
- Switch 2 Edition – $70
Includes the full game on cartridge + Switch 2 Upgrade Pack. Offers enhanced visuals, 4K/60fps Quality mode, and 1080p/120fps Performance mode when docked. Handheld players get 1080p/60fps (Quality) or 720p/120fps (Performance). HDR is always supported. Switch 2 also introduces mouse-style aiming with Joy-Con 2 controls. - Switch Edition – $60
Standard version with an optional $10 upgrade path to Switch 2.

Amiibo Preorders
Nintendo announced three Amiibo figures launching alongside Metroid Prime 4:
- Samus & Vi-O-La Motorcycle Amiibo – $40 | Nov. 6
- Samus Amiibo – $30 | Nov. 6
- Sylux Amiibo – $30 | Dec. 4
These will join the growing Switch 2 Amiibo lineup and, like others, can be used for in-game bonuses.
