September 5 news — Since its announcement in 2023, the Street Fighter movie has now been confirmed to be in production. The full cast lineup has been revealed, along with the release date of October 16, 2026. The film is co-produced by Capcom and Legendary Entertainment, with Paramount Pictures handling distribution. In addition, Paramount also announced this week that it is developing a live-action Call of Duty movie.
The story of Street Fighter is set in 1993. Estranged martial artists Ryu (played by Andrew Koji) and Ken (played by Noah Centineo) are recruited by the mysterious Chun-li (played by Callina Liang), pulling them back into the fighting arena to join the latest World Fighting Tournament — a brutal contest of fists, fate, and fury.
But behind this deadly showdown lies a sinister conspiracy, forcing them to confront each other as well as the demons of their past. If they fail, there’s only one ending: GAME OVER!
According to the official X (Twitter) account, the cast includes big-name stars such as Aquaman’s Jason Momoa, rapper 50 Cent, Orville Peck, and Eric André.
