According to PlayStation Game Size, the next major Call of Duty update is set to drastically reduce the game’s file size on PlayStation consoles.

In preparation for Season 5 Reloaded, Call of Duty is adding a wealth of new content, including a brand-new multiplayer map, expanded Zombies mode, new and returning game modes, and 20 battle pass tier skips. At the same time, reports suggest the update will also shrink the game’s installation footprint by a staggering 100GB.
On August 30, the PlayStation Game Size account posted on X that update 01.080.000 had been added to the database. The patch is expected to reduce the PS5 version from 126.224GB down to 25.377GB, while the PS4 version will drop from 81GB to 62GB. How such a drastic reduction will be achieved remains unclear.
The account also noted that update 1.80 will make multiplayer an optional download, with a standalone size of 38.751GB.
Meanwhile, as Modezone previously reported, Activision and Paramount have partnered to produce a live-action Call of Duty film. In addition, cosmetics from Black Ops 6 will reportedly not carry over into Black Ops 7.
