Recently, PS5 Limited-Edition Consoles Criticized as "Ugly," Except for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Edition

Last week, after pre-orders opened for limited-edition PS5 consoles, accessories, and covers inspired by the PS5 exclusive Ghost of Yotei, some PlayStation fans complained that Sony’s recent limited products lacked creativity and could not compare to those of previous generations.

On Reddit, one player compiled images of all the recent limited-edition PS5 consoles and covers. Among them, only Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Edition received generally positive reviews. The Ghost of Yotei console got mixed feedback, while most players considered the LeBron James collaboration accessories, Monster Hunter: Wilds, and Final Fantasy XVI themed covers to be the worst.

Some players bluntly said: “Compared to these, the PS4 limited editions were way cooler.” Others complained: “Except for the anniversary edition, the rest are just disappointing. The controllers are the same story.”
