Gaming insider @billbil-kun revealed yesterday (September 2) via the Dealabs blog that Microsoft plans to release three new Xbox special edition controllers in early September, named the "Breaker" series, including the Heartbreaker, Stormbreaker, and Icebreaker models.

In terms of design, these three controllers deviate from the traditional solid-color scheme, opting instead for more artistic patterns resembling glass or blades:

  • The Heartbreaker features a bold purple-pink color with cyan green accents.
  • The Stormbreaker uses a monochrome mix of black, white, and gray, similar to the previous Arctic camouflage design.
  • The Icebreaker sports a gradient from deep blue to cyan green.

The source also revealed that the series may offer customization options through the Xbox Design Lab platform. The controllers will follow Microsoft's usual sales strategy, available through official Microsoft stores and major regional partners like Amazon, Fnac, and Micromania, with a retail price of $79.99. In the UK, the price may be set at £74.99.

This price is positioned between the standard base controllers and the high-end Elite controllers, aligning with other recent limited edition controllers. Regarding the release date, the source anticipates that Microsoft will announce the pre-order date on September 9 this week.
